Following a decade of disinterest in a property just east of Sam’s Club in Surprise, its owners are close to filling it in.
On Oct. 6 the Surprise Planning and Zoning Commission approved an amendment in the planned area zoning and a site plan for 4.9 acres of Surprise Village Marketplace.
This will allow owner James Stamatis of Bell Road and 303 LLC to bring in Storage West to the parcel, if the City Council approves the changes. The interest of the self storage and RV storage followed stagnant efforts to market the site to potential office building tenants.
